Introduction
Kieser Training is an international brand that stands for strength training for prevention and therapy. There are 148 facilities worldwide with Germany as the currently most important market with 120 facilities. Werner Kieser founded Kieser Training in 1967 and started expanding 1981 throughout Switzerland by means of franchising, followed 1990 by market entry in Germany
Solution
The POC-153/S155 works within a server-based communication system, where MSDE databases are used for data transfer and handling. The administration’s PC sends the patient’s data to the POC, which is cable-connected with the medical strength training-machine and where active strength therapy takes place
Being the user interface the POC-153/S155 plays a crucial role in the whole process of measuring muscle strength and providing the required therapy. Advantech seemed the best choice regarding the ease of use (touch-screen), radiation restriction in terms of the Medical Devices Act and long-term warranty
System
Equipped with TFT LCD displays and Intel® Pentium® engines, Advantech POC slim terminals are designed to resist spills and water damage, ensuring dust resistance with protected LCDs and sealed enclosures. The quiet, fanless design makes the slim series ideal for audio measurements and nocturnal hospital environments.
Benefits
- High, modern and ergonomically designed.
