ECA announces the new high performance Modular Enterprise-level Internet Security Platform: FWA-6280A. The latest addition to the FWA series raises the benchmark in high performance Internet security appliances.
Conceived as a powerful rackmount Internet security platform, the FWA-6280A was specifically designed for high performance IDS/IPS, firewall, VPN gateway and Unified Threat Management (UTM) applications. This powerful platform is designed with advanced Dual Intel® Xeon processors (Nocona) and Intel E7520 chipset which supports FSB 800 Mhz and Intel’s Extended Memory 64-bit Technology (EM64T) for 64bit computing capability. It also switches automatically with a bypass function to guarantee network connectivity. PCI-Express technology improves the I/O bandwidth and system total bandwidth up to 32Gbps. The system supports two removable optional 3.5" IDE/SATA H.D.D. which can be inserted/removed easily from the front panel and Compact Flash for OS and Internet security applications. In addition, FWA-6280A can support system memory up to 12 GB DDR2 memory. Designed with the Plug-and-Serve concept in mind, FWA-6280A offers eight 10/100/1000 Mbps LAN ports in the front panel. For easy access, the front panel also has a 9-pin RS-232 serial port, a 10/100 managed LAN port, and an LCD module for local system management, maintenance, and diagnostics.
FWA-6280A is designed with a unique modular solution by separating the main CPU board and the network expansion board to offer customers great flexibility and a migration path to upgrade their current PCI-X platform to the most advanced PCIe technology in the near future.
